I am a sinner yes I am…

I am like the devil who tempted you out in the desert/

But You are willing to send the Holy Spirit to dwell in my heart/

Am the guy who betrayed You/

But you love me…You always do/

Am the guy who denounced You/

But You still love me…You always come through/

Am the King who ignored You and sentenced You to death/

But on the cross You chose to pay my debt/

Am the whip that tore Your skin/

But still the same You decided to die for my sin/

Am the soldier who ridiculed You and tore Your garments/

But with me You always make amends/

Am that heavy cross that You carried to Golgotha/

But whenever I need help You are my number one promoter/

Am that spit that landed on Your face/

But me You always choose to bless/

Am that hard ground that hurt Your sole/

But You chose to save my soul/

Am the stones that cut Your feet/

As you carried the cross along the street/

But for heaven You still see me fit/

Am that guy who hurled an insult at You when you passed/

But before any other person You loved me first/

Am that crown of thorns that made Your head bleed/

But You still love me for me and not what I did/

Am that guy who pushed You down to the cross/

But you still insist to You I am no loss/

I am that nail that went through your hand/

But You provide the solid rock on which I stand/

I am that hammer that insisted You are fastened down/

But You are willing to give me the everlasting crown/

I am the spear that pierced Your side/

Still for me You were crucified/

I am that plaque they put on the cross over Your head/

But You are willing to give me life after am dead/

Am the thief who tempted You to free Yourself if You are the Messiah/

But You always answer my prayers to what I positively desire/

I always look up and see that am a sinner Lord/

And you are always more than willing to remove my inner load/

All am willing to give You might not be the most precious thing on earth/

But all I can promise is to give You my whole heart/
